About Oman

Oman is a fascinating country.

This year's Championship will be held in
Muscat, the capital city of the Sultanate of
Oman. Here, amongst the rugged coastal
forts, luxury hotels and palm-laden parks
of Al Qurum, there could be no better
setting to light up the skies with fireworks.

40th National Day

The National Day of Oman is the country's most popular event of the year, and celebrates the country's modern renaissance, under the direction of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al-Said.

Cities and streets are vibrant with festivals, music and lights. Colourful flags and artwork adorn the archways, with children's festivals and regional events providing an impressive and integral part of the celebrations.

This year, at the fortieth milestone, the World Fireworks Championship will provide the most spectacular event the Middle East has ever seen, forming a headline event in the 40th National Day Celebrations!
